I have been involved in sports my entire life, focusing on football, basketball, and soccer. I initially got involved in triathlon on a bet (2004) and the moment I crossed the finish line in that sprint race I was hooked even though I crossed dragging my leg from the intense cramps that had overtaken my body. I ditched the mountain bike, bought my first bike (Cervelo TT) and made a decision to do better and train more. I started out in 2004 weighing close to 280lbs. hence where the nickname "Diesel" comes from. I was on a ride with friends who said drafting me on the bike was like drafting a diesel 18 wheeler. I went through my first year with various coaching plans from the Internet then decided I needed to train with purpose and enlisted the guidance of a coach and that is when everything changed. I completed my first 70.3 in 2006 and have gone to complete 5 more with one being the 70.3 World Championship in 2007. I have also completed IM Arizona and IM Coeur D'Alene where I had two PR's; Overall IM time by over 1 hour and my best open marathon time by almost 30 minutes while securing 5th in the Clydesdale division.

I am excited to be a part of North Texas Performance Multisport and will serve as the Team Director securing sponsorships, working with the coaches in setting up group training sessions, helping new team members feel the NTPC love, and being active at local races whether there supporting fellow team members or competing. I am a seasonal expo specialist for Newton Running and I have demo shoes available to try, so drop me a line if interested. I also invite you to check out our sponsors page as we have some great partnerships this year.
