Ron Tribendis has been an athlete his entire life, playing baseball and basketball through high school and college. During chiropractic school, Ron developed an interest in Triathlon, and after competing in a few small triathlons in 2004, he successfully completed his first full Ironman in Florida. His interest quickly transformed into a passion for the sport and Ron has now completed more than a dozen Half Ironman events and 8 Ironman events including Brazil, Wisconsin, Couer D’Alene and Arizona where he qualified to compete in the 2006 World Championship in Kona. Crossing the finish line in Kona in 10:35:07 was both a personal milestone and a phenomenal motivator for his future in triathlon.
Ron supplements his personal experience with extensive knowledge in human physiology, biomechanics and ART as well as extensive research on periodization training, performance testing, nutrition and recovery techniques. All of these components combine into a comprehensive approach to his personal racing and training philosophy and his customized coaching approach.
Ron continues to learn and develop as a triathlete and coach. Ron is a big believer that in order to achieve success in the sport of triathlon you need patience and truly love to do the work needed in training.
Ron and his wife are the proud parents of their first child, Eli Tribendis, born in 2009.
