Update

Wow, finally found some time to sit down and write. There probably isn't too many people that still check in on this blog, since it has been so inactive. Oh well, it is more for my sanity anyway. I don't even know where to start. I guess I will keep this entry brief with a little summary about a couple of things that have been going on the past couple months. I told myself I am going to start writing more. I like having an account of what has been going on. It helps to just get it out there sometimes, training summary, goals, life events, etc.....

BSLT in my eyes was a success for me this year. Even though I didn't accomplish my goal and get a Kona slot. The race has always kicked my butt, and this year I PR'ed by almost 25 min. I was upset about not getting a slot, but it is hard to be too upset with a PR like that.

Took a break from racing in July and headed to CO with Amy. It was awesome to have an active vacation and not worry about racing and training. We had a great time and would love to make this a yearly event.

I did two training races since coming back from my July break. They were both great speed work and will be helpful leading me to a late season peak. It has been pretty different getting used to training with power. Still learning, but can see how much of an asset it will be for me in Ironman racing.

I registered for Ironman Arizona. So everything from now until then is geared around that race. Hopefully I will have a repeat performance and secure my Kona 08 slot(hence the title change for the blog).

My coaching business is coming along great. I just love it. I think I will be able to do a lot of cool things with it in the future. The new website is up but not finished. www.ntperformancecoaching.com

That's it for now. I am going to be writing more and more as my training for IM gets more intense. My blog is now linked to my website. It makes it easier to find.

Train Safe,
