Goals and Upcoming Season

Well, I have been pretty lacks with my blog lately. A lot has been going on I don't even know where to start. The Kona camp was amazing and allowed me to do a lot of thinking about what I wanted out of myself for the upcoming season. Believe me you do a lot of soul searching when you are going 4MPH into a head wind and just plain suffering. While I was suffering, I started to think about a goal for an Ironman. I realized to get there it is going to take at least another 2 years to develop enough to achieve that goal. So I am training right now for another break through a couple years from now. On our way up to Hawi, Ahmed and I came up with a plan for this year. I am going to spend the year working on getting some speed back. I am going to do St. Croix and BSLT. Of course I am going to these races to qualify, which is always my number one goal. But I am really looking long term. I love the Ironman distance, and if I have to take a year off from it for my own good, in order to accomplish a long term goal, then so be it. Training is going well. I have to say that I am enjoying going faster and not putting in such long hours. I have also taken on my first client. I am really enjoying sharing my training philosophy and watching them progress. That's it for now. Now that the season is starting I am going to be more active on this blog.

Train safe
