Day 4

Well let me just say that I have never been so humbled on a bike before in my life. Yesterday's ride was just crazy. It was everything you hear about when you think about the Hawaii Ironman. There were times I was in my easiest gear going 6MPH. I went 45 min out and it took 2 hours to get back. Yesterday was an all around tough day. Ahmed had us do a swim workout that was very tough considering the ocean had 3-5 feet swells. I am very happy with the way things are going. My body is holding up well. I am almost wishing I had an Ironman coming up because I can feel the fitness gains on a daily basis. Who knows, maybe I can find a backdoor into one. LOL Today should be interesting. This camp for me is about pushing my limits. Today should be one of those days you remember at mile 24 of an Ironman. The more I mature as athlete, the more I find the beauty in suffering. The wind yesterday definately let me know I was alive. Will keep you posted.

Day 4:

Swim: 1:45 Ocean swim workout. About 3500 worth of drills and intervals.

Bike: 2:45 40 miles

Run: 1:02 7.5 miles

Total: 5:32

6MPH? That's close to my pace. Maybe we can ride together now? Just kidding! I'm glad to hear that you're suffering enough to be happy my crazy, twisted hubby. Come home soon.

Dude, 6 MPH! I think I walked that fast from the cashier to my table at Starbucks this morning!!! :)

Seriously, it is cool to see the progression, both physical and mental, of a kick @** ironman. I'm feeding off of the energy I get from reading your thoughts about suffering and it being all about how you look at it. But seriously, go for 10 MPH today, ok? Make us proud. We're all counting on you....

Luther, dont push him too hard. Going from 6 to 10 may be too much. I'd say go for 8 today and then 10 tomorrow. We all know what you are capable of Ron. You complete us.
